Stop the Music: Conductor Edo de Waart, 51, has announced his intention to step aside as music director of the Minnesota Orchestra. “I’ve decided that it’s appropriate to draw the line at the end of the 1994-95 season,” De Waart said. He has led the orchestra since 1985. From 1977-85, he conducted the San Francisco Symphony.
