Black elected officials from Augusta, Ga., lashed out at the predominantly black Atlanta City Council for asking the International Olympic Committee not to hold a proposed golf competition at the Augusta National golf course. Atlanta council members oppose using Augusta, home of the Masters, because the club has only one black member and no female members.
