Nation IN BRIEF : HAWAII : Survey Finds Women Journalists Harassed
From Times staff and wire reports
One of every three woman journalists responding to a survey has been sexually harassed in the newsroom where she works. And only 30% of respondents said their newspaper has clear guidelines for dealing with sexual harassment. The results of the survey, answered by 640 journalists at 19 small, medium and large newsrooms across the country, were presented in Honolulu by Sue Reisinger, president of the Associated Press Managing Editors and the first woman to hold the APME leadership post.
