Criminal charges were filed Wednesday against two business owners accused of illegally selling sliced elk and deer antlers, animal horns, bear parts, snakes cured in vodka and a seal penis from their shop in Rowland Heights.

Ki Won Kim of Walnut and Kyung Sup Shim of Glendale, both 52, were each charged in Los Angeles Municipal Court with four felonies and 10 misdemeanor violations of the state Penal Code and state Fish and Game Code, Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert Brodney said.

The two operated K&S; Trading Co., raided by authorities last Feb. 21. At the time, Kim said that he sold herbal medicines and that the stuffed and preserved animals seized by officials were simply decorations. But Brodney said receipts, invoices and inventory documents translated from Korean and Chinese dispute Kim’s account.
