In other Division I quarterfinals:
Palos Verdes Peninsula 15, El Toro 3--Amanda Augustus swept in singles, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0, for visiting Peninsula (22-0), the No. 1-seeded team. Denise Kenyon and Carin Crawford won two of three doubles sets for El Toro (14-8).
Santa Barbara 11, Santa Margarita 7--Pilar Montgomery posted three singles victories to help Santa Barbara (15-3) beat Santa Margarita (19-3).
In Division II:
Edison 9, Diamond Bar 9 (Edison wins on games 85-82)--Freshman Kelly Foster won all three of her singles matches to help Edison (20-1) upset previously unbeaten and fourth-seeded Diamond Bar (20-1). The Chargers play top-seeded Laguna Beach in the semifinals Thursday.
Estancia 12, Los Angeles Marlborough 6--Kristina Grigaitis and Lauren Weaver swept in doubles, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1, for host Estancia (18-5), which did not lose a doubles set. Marlborough finishes 13-3. Estancia advanced to play the Arcadia-El Modena winner in the semifinals Thursday.
Laguna Beach 13, Calabasas 5--Ashley Smith and Tara Kuhnert teamed up for three doubles victories to lead Laguna Beach (22-1) past Calabasas (13-5).
In Division III:
Los Alamitos 14, Corona Centennial 4--Susan Huberman swept her three singles matches without dropping a game to lead top-seeded Los Alamitos (21-1) over Centennial (16-6). The Griffins play Palm Desert in Thursday’s semifinals.
