Odetics Inc.: The Anaheim manufacturer of automated tape libraries, data recorders and other information products reported a net loss of $785,000, or 18 cents a share, on revenue of $16.3 million for the second quarter of fiscal 1993. That compares with a year-earlier loss of $459,000, or 10 cents a share, on revenue of $17 million. Odetics lost $745,000, or 17 cents a share, for the first half ended Sept. 30, compared with a net loss of $1.1 million, or 23 cents a share, for the corresponding period last year. Revenue was up 2%, to $33.8 million from $33.1 million. According to Joel Slutzky, chairman and chief executive, the current results reflect costs associated with building a manufacturing infrastructure to support anticipated orders for automated computer mass storage subsystems introduced last year.
