Sade Returns in Style

Sade’s first album in four years, “Love Deluxe,” trounced the competition, premiering at No. 1 on The Times’ Southern California album chart, and satisfying fans who have been getting their Sade fix through reissues of her CDs--which have been consistently big sellers.

Michael Bolton’s “Timeless” (No. 3) had another strong week. The boost generated by his TV special may last another week or two. Bon Jovi’s “Keep the Faith” is off to a fast start (No. 4) and should do very well in this market.

Arrested Development tops the rap chart and may wind up with the year’s top-selling rap album.
