Brea-Olinda’s Defense Shuts Down Savanna
BREA — Sean Bickel rushed 26 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns as Brea-Olinda defeated Savanna, 21-0, in an Orange League game Friday night at Brea High.
About the only thing on the line in the game was pride and the fact that Brea (4-6, 2-3) was playing in front of a homecoming crowd of 1,800.
Bickel had gained 105 yards by the midway mark of the second quarter. He left the game with 4 minutes 42 seconds left in the half with an injured left ankle, but returned to limited duty in the second half.
The Wildcats held Savanna (3-6-1, 1-4) to two first downs and 23 yards total offense in the first half. For the game, the Rebels crossed midfield twice.
