Continental Gets 4-Day Extension: Continental Airlines has won at least a four-day extension to file a reorganization plan that will bring the carrier out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Helen Balick, acting at Continental’s request, earlier set a Monday deadline for the plan to be filed. She agreed to extend the deadline to Nov. 20 after the airline accepted a $450-million buyout offer from Air Canada-Air Partners. Continental, which has operated under Chapter 11 for two years, expects to file the plan next week, one of the carrier’s law firms said.
