PARKED TOO SOON: Ace Parking last week announced it would open the first independent, off-site parking facility for John Wayne Airport travelers, to open today. But Ace officials forgot one thing: They didn’t have the right state permit. . . . The plan has to be shelved until its permits are all in order. But when it’s back on, airline travelers might prefer its shuttle to the closer airport parking: Ace is $4 for all day; it’s $7 at the long-term parking lot next to the airport.
