DISHES BY THE SEA: San Clemente wants to show off its local restaurants. On Friday, its Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the annual “A Taste of San Clemente” at the historic Casa Romantica, the palatial mansion of city founder Ole Hanson. . . . For $35, patrons can sample dishes from 20 member restaurants. Says Sue Monlux with the chamber: “They do help people recognize what is in each city.” A peek at the menu: beef bourguignon, crawfish cakes, enchiladas, fish kabobs and chocolate fudge.
