EDUCATION NEWS : Azusa Girl Receives Volunteerism Award

Deandra Meza of Azusa, a junior at St. Lucy’s Priory High School in Glendora, has received the Youth Recognition Award from the Glendora Community Coordinating Council for her volunteer work with elderly patients.
For five months, Deandra has spent more than four hours a week offering friendship and comfort to patients at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital’s Extended Care Facility. She also maintains a 3.7 grade-point average and is active in the Youth Ministry at St. Frances of Rome Church.
