Crenshaw 12, Washington 12--Quarterback Eric Scott scored from the one-yard line to even the score with 4:39 to play, but Crenshaw failed the extra-point attempt on a bad snap and had to settle for a tie in a Southern Pacific Conference game.

Washington took the lead, 12-6, early in the fourth quarter on a four-yard run by Joe Brown shortly after Crenshaw, on fourth down and five, failed on a fake punt at its own 35-yard line. Crenshaw running back Jason Green took a pitch from Scott and threw a 44-yard pass to Kofi Nartey to set up the tying score.

Washington’s Tim McTyer and R.B. Bonner rushed for 88 and 85 yards, respectively.

W--Bonner 8 run (kick failed)

C--Fomond 1 run (kick failed)

W--Brown 4 run (run failed)

C--Scott 1 run (kick failed)

Records: Washington 3-3-1; Crenshaw 4-3-1
