South Gate 25, Garfield 10--Senior quarterback Ignacio Altamirano passed for two touchdowns in the first half to lead South Gate to a Southeastern Conference victory.

Altamirano completed four of six passes for 93 yards. Rams running back Alan Cervantes rushed for 105 yards in 14 carries South Gate.

Garfield running back Armando Figueroa, the area’s leading rusher, had 59 yards and a touchdown in 19 carries. South Gate defensive back Alex Castaneda returned the second-half opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown.
