OUTLOOK: After only two years of varsity football, the Eagles already are looking for stiffer competition. The team won the Arrowhead League last year but lost to league rival Southern California Christian in the Southern Section Division X final. Now, Calvary Chapel moves up a step to the stronger Olympic League, which is now in Division X while the Arrowhead League has been shifted to Division XI. Van Hook is confident about the move. “We’ll have to prove ourselves, but even last year we felt we could compete with most (Olympic League) teams,” he said. Kellogg (1,308 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns in ‘91) and Younger (79 tackles, four interceptions) are two key returners.
