OUTLOOK: With only four seniors slated to start on offense and three on defense, Roark calls this a rebuilding year. But even then, the Warriors rate among the top teams in the Olympic League primarily because of their excellent defense. The team returns almost its entire secondary, which helped set a school single-season record last year with 23 interceptions. Thomas accounted for six of those picks, Davis had five and Jackson had two. Zabel and Washington, who made 60 tackles, also spearhead the defense. Offensively, Roark plans to remain with his run-and-shoot scheme. “We are going to air it more,” he said. “We have good receivers who can fly.”
