From Staff and Wire Reports
Fans rushed for the gates of Houston’s Rice Stadium and football players dived for cover Saturday night after hearing a noise that sounded like a gunshot during the Texas Southern-Prairie View game.
At least seven people were treated for minor injuries, and officials ended the game with 13 minutes to play and Texas Southern ahead, 35-0.
University police said the noise apparently was caused by a firecracker.
