Pagets Remembered
The Paget family travels are reminiscent of a cross-country journey our family of nine (including the two parents) made 20 years ago in a 1972 Chevrolet Suburban and tent trailer. We traveled from Chatham, N.Y., to California and back in 28 days, camping all the way. We did not eat in a restaurant or fast-food place once and the one night we stayed in a private campground in South Dakota, the kids’ complaints were as loud as the coyotes’ howls. The planning that went into the trip was as precise as a military operation.
