*OUTLOOK
Is there a team that lost more than Mater Dei, what with the graduation of quarterback Billy Blanton (now at San Diego State) and wideout David Knuff (Washington State)? They were key figures in Mater Dei’s first section championship since 1965. But the time for celebrating the 35-14 victory over Rialto Eisenhower in front of 33,374 at Anaheim Stadium is long past. Quarterback, where Uhl comes in untested, is one of the biggest question marks facing Rollinson this season. The rest of the equation looks pretty good, though. Barajas was the county-leader in interceptions with 11 last season. He also averaged 19.5 yards per catch and had seven receptions for touchdowns. Sualua led the team with 14 sacks and is a strong blocker on offense.
