While everything but the brick buildings at Rams Park crumbled around him, Tony Zendejas kept on kicking. The Rams lost their last 10 games of 1991, but Zendejas set an NFL record by making every field goal he attempted in a season, finishing with 17.

In Buffalo on Sunday, Zendejas might find another spot in the record book. He has made 23 field goals in a row, one short of the league record set by Chicago’s Kevin Butler in 1988-89.

Starting left defensive end Robert Young, one of the main hopes in the defensive line, was put on the injured-reserve list because of a sprained left shoulder. The move opened the final roster spot the Rams needed to activate both safety Michael Stewart and rookie cornerback Steve Israel for Sunday’s game.
