*OUTLOOK
Numbers work for and against the Mustangs this season. They have only 18 varsity players, so several of them will play offense and defense. But they have 16 returning starters, including Harber at quarterback. Miller said Harber could split time with Niebling, and both players might play some defense. Don’t let the 3-7 record fool you, either. The Mustangs lost four games last season by four points or less, and were blown out by only Century (23-0) and Trabuco Hills (39-6).
