Bret Powers, who started eight games at quarterback for Arizona State last year, has said he will transfer to Ohio State and was attending Buckeye practices this week.
Powers, will have one year of eligibility remaining, in 1993.
Ohio State also announced that senior cornerback Foster Paulk, who started all 12 games for the Buckeyes last season, has been declared academically ineligible for the season.
