New 300-Seat Comedy Club to Open in Fullerton
FULLERTON — Bruce Baum’s Comedy Crib, a new 300-seat club, opens Wednesday in a North County area where it will vie with the nearby Brea Improv for comedy fans.
The opening headliner is TV veteran Bill Kirchenbauer, with Baum appearing as emcee. This is the first outing as a club owner for Baum, a comic best known for the novelty hit song “Marty Feldman Eyes.” He will join the cast of the ABC-TV series “America’s Funniest People” this fall.
The club is in a new building at Fullerton Metro Center, 126 W. Orangethorpe Ave. (on the corner of Harbor Boulevard). Shows will be at 8:30 nightly, with an additional show at 10:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Appetizers and sandwiches as well as drinks will be served. (714) 870-4400.
