Health Care in U.S., Canada
In response to “Ailing U.S. Girl Suspended in Health Care Limbo” (July 26):
When one of our children must be treated in Canada because our health care system cannot afford to take care of her, I want to know which family values and whose families do the Republicans really care for?
Bush and Company say we cannot afford to change our system to cover everyone. Yet, for less than it costs us, the Canadians, the Japanese and the Germans and many others do cover everyone.
It is ridiculous to spend so many of our dollars on a system that leaves many working people unprotected. That does not equate to real concern for family values.
