GM Recalls 113,000 Vans: General Motors Corp. said it is recalling 1990- and 1991-model Oldsmobile Silhouette and Pontiac Trans Sport vans because of a defective glove compartment that could open during a collision, increasing the risk of passenger injury. GM said front passenger-seat occupants could hit their heads on the upper instrument panel glove box during an accident. The auto maker said it isn’t aware of any injuries caused by the problem. It said dealers will install new glove boxes with a redesigned latch at no charge.
