Marion Jones, a junior at Thousand Oaks, broke her national high school record in the 200 meters by running 22.67 seconds at the Southern Section 3-A preliminaries at Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills High.
Jones, who improved on her previous best of 22.76 set last year in TAC National championships, won her heat by almost three seconds. The time also breaks her National high school federation record of 22.87 set last year.
