Alexi Grewal won the 82-mile next-to-last stage and Greg LeMond held his overall lead in the Tour Du Pont at Richmond, Va.

Grewal, of the Coors Light team and the 1984 Olympic road race winner, broke from U.S. national team member Chann McRae to win by two bike lengths. He was timed in 3 hours 48 minutes 14 seconds. Kurt Huygens of Belgium finished third, six seconds behind Grewal.

LeMond, who has not won a race in the United States since 1985, finished 10th in the stage and holds a 0.13-second margin over Z teammate Atle Kvalsvoll of Norway entering today’s final stage--a 13.7-mile time trial at Washington.
