Cypress College’s Gipson Signs With Mariners
Charlie Gipson, an outfielder from Cypress College, has signed with the Seattle Mariners, the club announced Friday.
Gipson, a first-team All-Orange Empire Conference selection, batted .339 and led county community college players with 44 runs scored this season. He will report to the Mariners’ mini-camp in Tempe, Ariz., this summer before his minor league assignment.
