Cuba Policy
Re “Bush Tightens Economic Noose on Teetering Castro” (April 19): Is this in the U.S. interest? No. Statesmanlike? No. Shortsighted? Yes!
Why not espouse a policy of opening trade and diplomatic relations with Cuba now rather than wait for its collapse and then provide multimillion-dollar aid? Cuba does have a working infrastructure now. We should not wait until there is complete chaos.
