Business Leaders Stress ‘Eco-Efficiency’

GENEVA — Business leaders from rich and developing countries challenged industries worldwide Thursday to find ways to protect the Earth when they manufacture products.
Swiss industrialist Stephan Schmidheiny said the business leaders coined the term “eco-efficiency” to describe making more useful products while reducing pollution and resource consumption.
