Striking ‘Gold’: Stations in Las Vegas, Reno and Honolulu have picked up Huell Howser’s “California’s Gold” series that airs on all 13 PBS stations in California, including KCET. Wells Fargo Bank has renewed its funding for the series--which focuses on California’s history and culture--through 1993. . . . KCET, meanwhile, has started production on “Storytime,” a 20-part series designed to introduce children to stories and literature.
