Nintendo Moving to Seattle?: Nintendo Chairman Hiroshi Yamauchi, who wants to buy 60% of the Seattle Mariners baseball team for $75 million, hopes to eventually establish the company’s headquarters in Seattle, according to a newspaper report. The New York Times quoted Yamauchi as saying that the only question was “whether the Japanese government will let me” move the world headquarters of the video game giant. Nintendo of America, the U.S. subsidiary, is already based in Seattle. Nintendo’s controversial offer to buy the Mariners has been met coolly by Baseball Commissioner Fay Vincent.
