Lewis Seeking Transfer
TIMES STAFF WRITER
SAN DIEGO — James Lewis, a junior guard at San Diego State, said Wednesday he plans to transfer to Southern Utah State College.
Neil Roberts, Southern Utah State basketball coach, confirmed that Lewis contacted him earlier this week but said he hasn’t yet had the chance to go through proper channels relating to a transfer. Roberts needs to get SDSU to release Lewis from his scholarship.
“(Southern Utah State) is more suited to my style,” said Lewis, who will have to sit out a season before becoming eligible.
