Best Products Closing Stores: Best Products Co. said 24 of its 195 catalogue showrooms are closing, along with 15 of its 33 jewelry stores. Two Best Jewelry stores in Southern California-- in Torrance and Huntington Beach--were among those closed. The Richmond, Va.-based retailer, in the midst of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, will lay off 1,550 employees, leaving it with a work force of about 13,900.
