Pacific Scientific Wins Boeing Contract: Pacific Scientific Co. announced it won a contract from Boeing Co. to build fire detection systems for 747 commercial aircraft. Edgar S. Brower, chairman and chief executive, said the fire detection systems could generate more than $10 million in revenue for the company over the next three years. He declined to comment on the exact value of the contract, which runs through 1994.
