San Diego
San Diego’s “baseball cap robber” struck for the 12th time Thursday afternoon, stealing $800 from a Point Loma bank, police said.
The man, nicknamed for the hats he has worn during his robberies, held up the Bank of America branch in the 1200 block of Rosecrans Street at 12:54 p.m., hours after police had been at the bank warning employees about the robber, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
He said the robber, wearing a dark blue baseball cap backward, walked into the bank Thursday and handed a teller a note that read: “Give me all the money in the drawer. I have a gun.”
Police said he took the money, put it in a tote bag and fled on foot.
