Casablanca Industries Files Chapter 11: The ceiling fan maker based in the City of Industry said the filing will allow it to receive an immediate infusion of $4.5 million to fund ongoing operations. John G. Wiencken, a turnaround specialist named Casablanca’s chief executive earlier this week, said the bankruptcy was caused by the housing recession and downturn in retail sales.
