CYPRESS : Class to Offer Ways to Fight Drug Use
- Share via
A community group is holding a class tonight to help teach parents how to keep their children from using drugs.
Neighborhoods in Action uses videos, lectures and other presentations to provide parents with information about the signs of drug abuse.
“It doesn’t matter what walk of life you come from, it strikes us all,” said Cypress parent Elaine Schneider, who is helping to coordinate the effort.
Tonight’s class will begin at 7 at Cawthon Elementary School, 4545 Myra Ave. For more information, call 527-5966.
Funding for Neighborhoods in Action is provided by the Scott Newman Foundation, which was established in memory of actor Paul Newman’s son who died of a drug overdose.
