Orange County BOMA Honors Building

The Transamerica building, which has an unusual stepped facade, has been named “1989 Office Building of the Year” by the Orange County chapter, Building Owners & Managers Assn.
The 11-story, 219,678-square-foot building was designed by Gensler & Associates, Architects, and was completed in 1985 at 18201 Von Karman Ave., in the $54-million Koll Center Irvine.
