Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : Low-Interest Loans Part of Cleanup Effort
The City of Garden Grove is offering low-interest loans as part of a program intended to help residents improve and maintain their property.
The Love Thy Neighborhood program also includes cleanup campaigns and house painting as well as the home improvement loans. The loans will be offered at interest of 5% or less, or at no interest. Some parts of the program have income or other eligibility requirements.
Eligible homeowners may borrow up to $25,000 with as long as 15 years to repay. Rental property owners also may be eligible for low-interest loans or for deferred loans to improve their property.
Other services offered as part of the program include use of trash dumpsters, pickup of large items, free inspections of smoke detectors and home security, and assistance in removing graffiti.
