Irvine Women Receive NCAA Volleyball Bid

For the first time in school history, the UC Irvine women’s volleyball team will participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. tournament.

The Anteaters (19-11), who received an at-large bid Sunday, will play Cal State Long Beach (25-6) at Long Beach in the first round of the Northwest region Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Irvine is seeded seventh and Long Beach second.
