Israeli soldiers shot and wounded at least 21 Palestinians in clashes in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources said. In the occupied West Bank, at least two Palestinians were wounded in confrontations with the military, and soldiers raided several villages and refugee camps to arrest Arabs suspected of violence related to the nearly year-old Palestinian uprising, the sources said. An army spokesman confirmed at least six Palestinians were wounded in the occupied territories and said it is investigating the other reports. The violence came a day after Palestinian sources reported that soldiers shot and killed a 16-year-old Palestinian in the Gaza Strip’s Nusseirat refugee camp.
