Three ABC series start new seasons Wednesday night.
“The Wonder Years,” which came on the air in January and won the Emmy as best comedy series of the year in August, picks up its storytelling of life in suburbia in the ‘60s at 9 p.m. on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42. Fred Savage and Josh Saviano play the show’s best-friends principals.
“Hooperman,” which earned series star John Ritter an Emmy nomination last year, goes into its second season at 9:30 p.m. Ritter’s weekly heroics revolve around his life in San Francisco where he’s a plainclothes detective and owner of an apartment building.
“China Beach,” which premiered in April, tells the stories of women who found themselves in Vietnam during the war. Dana Delany stars as a nurse in the 10 p.m. series.
