Chaminade 35, North Torrance 14--Tailback Colin Havert rushed for a game-high 178 yards in 18 carries and scored 3 touchdowns, on runs of 1, 7 and 2 yards, to lead the Eagles at home.

Quarterback Greg Baumgartner completed 8 of 17 for 103 yards and had a 60-yard scoring strike to split end Brady Mitchell that gave Chaminade a 28-6 lead with 50 seconds left in the first half.

Tony Collatos turned one of his 2 interceptions into a 72-yard touchdown for Chaminade’s first score 5:33 into the game. Chaminade (8-3), which finished second in the San Fernando Valley League, limited the Saxons to 79 yards rushing.
