HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS : Southern Section Roundup
DIVISION VII
Serra 30, Harvard 8--Lamont Butler ran for 2 touchdowns to spark a 22-point fourth quarter for Serra (7-3), the Camino Real League co-champion, at home.
Butler, who rushed for 100 yards in 9 carries, scored the go-ahead touchdown on a weaving, 42-yard jaunt. He then added a 2-yard scoring burst to increase Serra’s lead to 22-8. Harvard (7-4) tied the score earlier on Grant Marston’s 2-yard run with 3:10 left in the third quarter. Serra did a fine job of restraining Harvard’s standout tailback Marty Holly, who rushed for 41 yards in 11 carries.
