Reseda 11, Bell 7--Reseda defensive back Joe Arnold intercepted a Howard Corrales pass at the Regent goal line with 9 seconds left to preserve Reseda’s victory at Bell.
Arnold also kicked a 21-yard field goal and caught 3 passes for 63 yards for the Regents (9-1). Running back William Gaines rushed for 70 yards in 18 carries, including a 9-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Bell’s Armando Lara rushed for a game-high 78 yards in 21 carries and capped a 9-play, 80-yard first-quarter drive with a 1-yard run for a 7-0 lead. Gaines countered with his scoring dash, but the conversion attempt missed. Arnold’s third-quarter field goal gave Reseda a 9-7 lead.
Reseda outgained Bell (5-6), 219-213.
