Prop. 103 and the ‘Insurance Mess’

A comment on your editorial “The Insurance Mess: What Now?” (Nov. 10):

I voted for Proposition 103 even though the Nader bunch makes me ill, but I dislike the arrogance of the insurance lobby even more. If insurance companies are in dire straits financially, where in the name of common sense did those crybabies get $70 million to fight for no-fault? Well sir, it came from profits!

$70 million is a lot of bucks! It came from insurance premium money that we paid in. That’s a lot of real dollars that they used to attempt to beat us into submission. This is the only industry that takes your money with a smile and kicks you in the face when you ask for the product you purchased to be serviced and delivered properly.

They are so broke, that they are already spending more of our money in the courts to prove that our voting rights are invalid! I love it when they say they won’t write auto business in California. I hope they all get out of the business. Who are they kidding? If they are willing to leave this market others will step in. There’s no need to panic.
