Moorpark Women Post Tournament Victory
Moorpark College advanced to the second round of the Long Beach City College women’s basketball tournament with a 69-41 victory over Orange Coast on Thursday in Long Beach.
The Raiders, who led at halftime, 27-22, held Orange Coast to 1 field goal in the first 16 minutes of the second half. Cindy Wiley led Moorpark with 19 points and 9 rebounds and teammate Mary Bittner had 11 steals.
Moorpark will face Cerritos tonight at 6 in a second-round game.
