Israel Lang, former running back for the Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles, was arrested in Hackensack, N.J., and charged with impersonating New York Giants running back Joe Morris in a check forgery, the latest in a string of cases in which he posed as football stars, authorities said.
Lang, who has been arrested 24 times since retiring from pro football in 1969, also has been accused of impersonating Lawrence Taylor and Leonard Marshall of the Giants, and Doug Williams of the Washington Redskins.
