Free-agent pitchers Bruce Hurst of the Boston Red Sox and Mike Moore of the Seattle Mariners have received contract offers from the San Diego Padres, Dick Freeman, the team’s acting president, said.
Hurst, 30, was offered a 3-year deal valued at about $4.9 million. Moore, 28, was offerred a 2-year contract worth an estimated $2.65 million.
